Hillwalking in North Wexford

Carnew Enterprise Centre

The Carnew Enterprise Centre are currently developing walks on the beautiful and breath-taking hills of North Wexford.

To date, Croghan, Slieve Bhui, Ballyfad and Annagh have already been plotted. There are laminated maps with items of interest, duration of walks and useful information available through Gorey Tourist Office at a nominal charge.

When hill-walking people are advised to wear suitable clothing and always inform others of your destination and the time you expect to return.

It is wise to bring a torch, whistle and wear approriate clothing such as layers of say, a T-shirt, fleece and waterproof anorak with walking trousers and or gators and good walking boots are essential, If your feet hurt you won't walk!
